Cellulite Reduction and Body Contouring

Velashape

What is Velashape?

The Velashape is the first FDA-cleared professional device designed to permanently reduce cellulite by using four different energies. Velashape utilizes suction, massage, infrared and bipolar radiofrequencies to heat the fatty tissue in the treated area, diminishing the appearance of cellulite.

In addition, Velashape is the first and only device approved by the FDA for circumferential reduction. With a series of 4-6 treatments, this device makes it possible to reduce one to two-and-a-half inches in diameter of the stomach, thighs, or other problem areas.

What can I expect if I receive a Velashape procedure at Skin Essentials?

Almost 80% of women over the age of twenty are affected by cellulite regardless of their weight or size.  These problem areas can cause patients to be very self-conscious to the extent that they will no longer wear anything but long pants.  At Skin Essentials we are proud to offer the Velashape system allowing patient to diminish unwanted areas of cellulite without having to go through invasive surgery.

If you're interested in reducing your cellulite, or minimizing the dimensions of your stomach or thighs, we encourage you to schedule a consultation. You can view before-and-after photos in our office, of patients who have received Velashape treatments with our Skin Essentials staff.

As a prospective patient, what should I know about Velashape?

  • Velashape is the only device cleared for reducing circumferential reduction by the FDA to non-invasively reduce the diameter of your body's problem areas.
  • This treatment is safe for all skin types and colors
  • Due to the warm sensation experienced during and immediately after the treatment, you should expect redness around the treated area for a few hours.
  • The results are most apparent 6-8 weeks following your final treatment, although you may notice improvement during your series.
  • You will uncover a smoother and firmer figure with no downtime minimal discomfort.
  • Cellulite is genetically predisposed; women can have cellulite even if they are in excellent shape. If you are trying to get rid of superficial cellulite, losing weight may not solve the problem; the best solution may be a cellulite-reduction treatment.
